In this post we break down the “best” song each year starting in 1979.

At Vibe, we are children of Hip Hop and love the celebration that is happening globally to honor the most widely consumed music globally. I personally remember having a horrible rhyme book when I was 13 with an MC name that was randomly selected from the dictionary (it was “Imminence” in case you were wondering) To celebrate, we wanted to share Slauson & Co’s 50 years of hip hop playlist from Spotify. Its so good!

One of our teammates found this during his research and let me tell you, you have to try it for yourself to believe it 😬. I tried it with the prompt “ If Tyler the Creator was rapping as Tyler Perry”. What it generated was nothing short of unhinged rhymes with a hilarious Nintendo64 style beat to back it. HAVE FUN
